The International Meeting on European Criminal Procedure, a joint inititative of CIDP and the Univeristy of Valladolid within the scope of a European research project, took place at FDUL last Thursday, May 2.
Under the scientific coordination of CIDP researchers Paulo de Sousa Mendes and Rui Soares Pereira, together with Coral Arangüena and Montserrat de Hoyos from the University of Valladolid, the International Meeting brought together a group of experts whose presentations covered topics such as new directive proposals of the European Union regarding violence against women or the fight against human trafficking; artificial intelligence and its regulation; European judicial and police cooperation; procedural guarantees in European Union law and European criminal procedure.
The event also included the participation of an extensive group of master's and doctoral students from FDUL who are currently carrying out research work in this field.
