A new cooperation protocol between CIDP and CEDPAL (Center for the Study of Latin American Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure) was signed last Friday, May 10. Representing both institutions were the respective Directors, Professor Dr. Dário Moura Vicente and Professor Dr. Kai Ambos.
Founded in 2013, CEDPAL is hosted by the Institute of Criminal Sciences of the Faculty of Law of the Georg-August University of Göttingen and is an integral part of the Department of Foreign and International Criminal Law. The Centre aims to promote research in criminal, procedural and criminological sciences in Latin America and to encourage, through different types of academic offerings, teaching and training in these areas. Cooperation between CIDP and CEDPAL researchers has been taking place for several years in the form of projects and initiatives in the field of evidence and criminal liability, and it is expected that this protocol will further strengthen ties between the two institutions and broaden the scope of their joint activities.
