Carried out research in foreign universities, namely in Germany, Italy, France and the United States. Participation in congresses and seminars and held courses and conferences in Portugal, United States, Italy, Brazil, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau and Timor-Leste.

Full Professor of the Lisbon University School of Law, teaching disciplines of Civil Law – Law of Obligations and Contracts Law –  Labor Law and Information Society Law. Former President of the Directive Council of the Lisbon University School of Law (2002-2004). Former member of Centro de Estudos Fiscais da Direcção-Geral dos Impostos. Lawyer and legal consultant.

Author of studies and articles published in the areas of Law of Obligations, Commercial Law, Rights in rem, Labor Law and Information Society Law.
